In which Abhinav Saini, a student of Delhi Public School School (DPS) Ranipur, BHEL Haridwar has brought glory to the school and his village Missarpur by scoring 93% marks. Everyone is congratulating Abhinav on this success. Abhinav Saini says that he wants to become an engineer so that he can serve the country. Giving credit to his school principal Dr. Anupam Jagga and his parents Aarti Saini and Amit Saini for his success, he said that due to their hard work he has got this success and he will continue to work hard and study further and improve his career. Haridwar (Uttarakhand): Chaos erupted after a giant python entered the fields adjacent to Ismailpur village of Laksar tehsil in Haridwar district. The forest workers had to sweat hard to rescue the python, which was 13 feet long and weighed about one and a quarter quintal. After a lot of effort, the python was rescued and released to a safe place in the forest. As soon as summer begins, wild animals start entering areas inhabited by humans in search of water. On Monday, a huge python entered the field adjacent to Ismailpur village in Laksar tehsil of Haridwar.
When the nearby farmers saw the python, they also lost their senses. The forest department was immediately informed. As soon as the information was received, the team of Laksar Forest Department reached the spot and started rescuing the python.
The python hiding in the bushes was rescued after immense effort. Range Officer Shailendra Singh Negi said that as soon as the information was received, the Forest Department team reached the spot and the python was rescued and released safely into the forest.  "This python was about 13 feet long and its weight was around 1.25 quintal, hence it took time for the forest workers to rescue it, but with the help of the villagers, the forest workers successfully rescued this giant python and released it in the reserved forest area," said Range Officer Shailendra Singh Negi.

She said that we do not have to wait for when Ram Rajya will come, rather we have to make efforts from now to bring Ram Rajya. BK Shivani was speaking as the chief guest in a spiritual program organized in the auditorium of Prem Nagar Ashram in Haridwar. This program was organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwari Vishwavidyalaya Seva Kendra Haridwar. The program started by lighting of the lamp jointly with the saints. BK Shivani was given a floral welcome by Meena Didi, in-charge of Seva Kendra Haridwar. Ram Rajya means to live a life of truth, peace, happiness and spirituality, whereas Ravana Rajya means to live a life full of vices. Ravana had 10 heads, symbolising ten vices - lust, anger, greed, ego, attachment, slander, laziness. We have to establish Ram Rajya by defeating these vices in our lives. She said that on 22 January this year, in Ayodhya, we had resolved to establish Ram Rajya by consecrating the idol of Lord Shri Ram. To achieve this resolution, we do not have to wait for anyone but we have to make efforts to establish happiness, peace and affection. She said that at this time, the dark period Kaliyug is going on and after Kalyug comes Satyug. We have to bring Ram Rajya i.e. Satyug not by showing fear, anger and resentment but with love and peace.She said that in the race of modernity, we have become slaves of our senses. We have to become their masters only then can we move towards spiritual happiness. And this is the miracle of Raja Yoga. All this can happen only by moving from Sankalp to Siddhi. The positive we think and positive we become. Affirming ourselves on wellness, we can overcome pain and disease in reality. Seminar Director Professor VK Singh said that a total of 292 registrations were received in the seminar including foreign countries. 58 participants presented their research papers in the seminar. A panel of experts from diverse fields addressed the students on the NEP 2020. The welcome program was presided over by Professor Omnath Vimli of Delhi University and Professor SC Bagdi was the note speaker of the program. Shedding light on the Indian knowledge tradition, Shri Somdev Shatanshu, Vice chancellor of Gurukul Kangri University expressed said that Swami Shradhanand had already incorporated the holistic approach to education introducing the Vedic values in education when he started the university. Haridwar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the Ayodhya-bound Aastha special train from Haridwar station on Monday. The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the operation of the train. He stated that the operation of the train will provide convenience to Ram devotees from Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Garhwal and Kumaon regions. "No matter how much we all struggled for the Ram temple, now we have the reward of that struggle from the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he added. He saluted all those people who sacrificed and struggled to make the Ram Mandir dream come true. Haridwar (Uttarakhand): A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Haridwar, where a woman repeatedly immersed her own 5-year-old child in the Ganges, leading to his death. It is reported that the child was suffering from blood cancer, and the relatives hoped that immersing him in the Ganges would cure him. Consequently, they continuously dipped the child in the river, while the family chanted mantras on the banks of the Ganges. Unfortunately, the child passed away after these attempts.  Although several people standing nearby attempted to stop the woman upon hearing the child's cries, she did not heed their words and continued to immerse the child in the Ganges. It was only when people managed to restrain the woman that a significant amount of time had passed, and the child had already died.

Haridwar: A large number of people on Monday visited Uttarakhand on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and took a holy dip in the river Ganga. The excitement of tourists from various states was evident as they gathered at 'Har Ki Pauri.' Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in Ganga, after which they participated in the Ganga arti and then offered prayers at temples. "I feel lucky to be here at the moment, I have come along with my whole family. I pray for the well-being and health of each and everyone here," one of the devotees said. "All the preparations here are in order. We have been visiting this place for 15-20 years, and the progress is quite evident. I have a strong belief in Maa Ganga," a devotee from Nepal told ANI. Hundreds of devotees thronged Prayagraj to take a holy dip in the river Ganga. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He also extended wishes to fellow Indians. "Today, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, people are taking baths in Sangam. Devotees have been offering Khichdi in the Gorakhnath temple since yesterday. People are offering Khichdi with great faith. After the Makar Sankranti festival, all the auspicious work is done. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, I heartily extend my best wishes to all the devotees," CM Yogi said while addressing the media. "The festival of Khichdi is celebrated with different names in the country. Various types of events are organised in the state today. In some places, Lohri is celebrated, while some celebrate 'Bihu'. Today, lakhs of devotees are taking baths on the banks of Sangam in the state. A large number of people go to the sacred river, pond and other places to take a bath. Be it Prayagraj, take a bath in Kashi or Ayodhya Dham," he added. Meanwhile, Indian cricketers Tilak Varma, Washington Sundar, Jitesh Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi also offered prayers at Ujjain Mahakaal Temple on the occasion. In West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, devotees and pilgrims took a holy dip and performed Arti in Gangasagar on Makar Sankranti. The state observes 'Gangasagar Mela' on the occasion. The 'Mela' attracts many devotees every year who visit, especially to take a dip in the waters of the river Ganga at Sagardwip, from where it finally merges into the Bay of Bengal. Makar Sankranti is a Hindu festival that marks the transition of the sun into the zodiac sign of Capricorn (Makara) on its celestial path. Haridwar: On the occasion of the 29th foundation day of Patanjali Yogpeeth, the 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, and the birth anniversary of the founder of Gurukul, Pujya Swami Darshanand Ji, the Patanjali Yogpeeth family is set to lay the foundation stone of the world's most prominent and largest Gurukul, 'Patanjali Gurukulam'. This information was shared by Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj during a press conference today. He stated that the Gurukul, which was started 118 years ago by Swami Darshanand Ji with 3 bighas of land, 3 brahmacharis, and 3 quarters, has been named Swami Darshanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya Jwalapur and will become a major center for the revolution in education.  Swami Ji Maharaj expressed that a new history and milestone would be set from the land of Gurukul Jwalapur. The foundation stone of this Gurukul will be laid by the honorable Defense Minister of the country, Mr. Rajnath Singh. The grand event will also be attended by the illustrious Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Chairman of Amity Group Dr. Ashok Chauhan, along with almost all scholars of Arya Samaj, various dignitaries, devotional singers, and ascetic saints, including all revered Acharya Mahamandaleshwars and saints from Haridwar.

The first is the construction of a magnificent 7-storey Patanjali Gurukulam, estimated to cost about 250 crores, which will provide residential facilities for approximately 1500 students. Additionally, an Acharyakulam branch, also with an estimated cost of 250 crores, will be established, benefiting around 5000 day-boarding children. There are also plans to build the Maharishi Dayanand Guest House here.  Swami Ji stated that the children here would be imparted education and values that connect them with their culture and roots. He highlighted that this is a time of pride and self-respect in the country, emphasizing the understanding of Sanatan (eternal) knowledge, Indian consciousness, and modern subjects. This combination will awaken a sense of national building and pride in the students.  Swami Ji added that the Gurukul will represent the confluence of the best of modern education and ancient Indian knowledge. Students will learn languages ranging from Hindi, English, and Sanskrit to at least five other global languages.  He mentioned that the Chauhan community has played a significant role in protecting the Gurukul, and hence, a statue of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan will also be erected here. Haridwar: A large number of people on Monday visited Uttarakhand on the occasion of New Year 2024 and took a holy dip in Ganga. The enthusiasm of tourists arriving here from different states was clearly visible at 'Har Ki Pauri'. Thousands of devotees took holy dips in Ganga, after which they participated in the Ganga arti and then offered prayers at temples. "We saw the Ganga arti and visited temples. I had darshan of God and took a bath in the Ganga. We pray to Ganga that there should be brotherhood, happiness and peace all over the world," one of the devotees said. Meanwhile, devotees who took a holy dip at Prayag Ghat on the first day of the New Year expressed their happiness and extended New Year wishes. A tourist from the UK said that "it feels amazing." Another devotee, Satish Singh said, "On the first day of New Year, people had different aspirations. I have come here so that the new year shall be filled with happiness and prosperity for my country, and all our wishes come true." As the nation welcomed the year 2024 with various celebrations, some entered the new year with prayers and offerings at temples. Devotees visited and offered prayers at Guwahati's Maa Kamakhya Temple on the first day of the new year. A devotee at Guwahati's Maa Kamakhya Temple said, "Today being the first day of 2024, I have come to worship Maa Kamakhya." Devotees thronged Kalkaji Temple in Delhi to offer prayers on the first day of the year 2024. Priest Surendra Nath Avdhut said, "I extend my best wishes to the people of the country for the New Year. I pray that this year turns out to be a great one for India and our country moves towards massive progress. Special arrangements have been made in Kalkaji temple for the devotees today." Devotees are also flocking to UP's Ayodhya on the first day of the new year. "It is just 21 days to go when Lord Ram Lalla will move into a grand temple," said a devotee in Ayodhya. Moreover, many people in Hyderabad visited temples, coming together to pray for fresh starts and blessings in the upcoming year. As people gathered at the temples, the echoes of their prayers highlighted the deep connection between tradition and a positive outlook. In Tamil Nadu, special prayers were held at Velankanni Church on the first day of the year 2024. Devotees in large numbers visited and offered prayers at the Ujjain Mahakal temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Madhya Pradesh. —ANI

Haridwar (The Hawk): During the second day of the Veda Vijyana Sanskriti Mahakumbh, the chief guest of the conference was Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State of Culture and Minister (Independent Charge) of Law and Justice. Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal said that India is a land of human values and these values are taught since childhood. Mr Meghwal beautifully explained the relationship between the concepts of civilisation and culture through various examples. One of the examples explained that a flower conceptualised civilisation whereas its fragrance symbolised culture. Furthermore, Mr Meghwal dwelled on the point that the life of Swami Dayanand Saraswati teaches us the importance of patriotism and nationalism and inspires us to dedicate our lives to our country. Through a song, the minister explained the importance of spirituality and self-development. He encouraged the young students of the university to take an oath to protect the culture of India. The special guest of the programme, Swami Ramdev stated that Swami Dayanand showed the people of our country, the path towards a casteless society. He further said that the individuals who read the Vedas are close to God. Thus, the Vedas are far above caste, creed and other divisions. Swami Ramdev said that there have been several leaders of the national movement who have emerged from Gurukul Kangri. Moreover, he also said that Gurukul Kangri has always been a centre of Vedic knowledge and traditions. Swami Ramdev encouraged the students of the university to succeed in the world through their behaviour and manners. The patron of the Vedas Vijyana Sanskriti Mahakumbh, Dr Satyapal Singh said that travelling on the path shown by Swami Dayanand and Swami Shraddhanand will help us in protecting our culture and tradition. He also said that Gurukul Kangri is making positive efforts in establishing Vedic knowledge as an important discipline in the world of academia. The Vice Chancellor of Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Prof Somdev Satanshu, said in his welcome address, that Swami Dayanand’s work in the fields of upliftment of Dalits, women empowerment, women education, encouragement of Vedic teaching, changed the country and put it on a path towards development. Prof Satanshu focussed on the fact that there are several Vedic subjects taught in departments such as Management, Physics, Microbiology. Prof Satanshu said that Swami Dayanand’s dream of propagating Vedic education across various disciplines is being fulfilled in Gurukul Kangri. Swami Aryavesh said that in today's volatile and violent world, we can get peace from following Vedic values. Thus, Swami Aryavesh said that the Vedas can lead to the attainment of world peace. He also said that the solution to the problems of climate change, pollution is found in the Vedas. Therefore, he advocated a return to the Vedas for the society at large. Dr Ajay Malik was the master of the ceremony. Prof Sunil Kumar, Registrar, Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University gave the vote of thanks. On this occasion, a grand procession was organized from Dayanand Stadium of the University campus to Shraddhanand Chowk in which a large number of teachers, non-teachers and students of the University including various Vedic scholars and Aryans who came from India and abroad to participate in the event participated. The procession ended after reaching the University Auditorium. On this occasion, tributes were paid to Swami Shraddhanand Maharaj at Shraddhanand Chowk.

The abstracts for the research papers submitted for the Veda Vijana Sanskriti Mahakumbh were released in the form of a book by Minister of Law and Justice (independent charge) and Minister of State of Culture, Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal, Swami Ramdev, Swami Aryavesh, Swami Adityavesh, Swami Pranvanand, Dr Satyapal Singh, Vice Chancellor- Prof Somdev Satanshu, Registrar, Dr Sunil Kumar, Prof D.S. Malik, Dr Gagan Matta. There were more than 800 scholars who registered for the conference and more than 700 research papers were received for the conference.

While singing the song, Baba Ramdev was joined by Minister (independent charge) of Law and Justice, Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal. The students and scholars present in the conference enjoyed the song. Swami Ramdev stated that we should try to include the teachings of the song in our daily life.

Yogguru Baba Ramdev, while speaking at the Veda-Vigyan Sanskriti Mahakumbh, said that Gurukul Kangri University is the penance place of Swami Shraddhanand. Today, the employees and teachers of Gurukul Kangri University will have to take an oath that together they will make the university the number 1 university of India. Haridwar: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, along with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, on Sunday inaugurated the 'Divine Spiritual Festival' at Shri Harihar Ashram Kankhal in Haridwar. The three-day programme is being organised as 'Shridatt Jayanti' on the occasion of the completion of 25 years of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdeshanand's establishment of Junakahara Acharyapeeth. Addressing people after inaugurating the 'Divine Spiritual Festival' at Shri Harihar Ashram, the RSS chief said 'Sanatana' is eternal. "Sanatana was there, is there and will remain forever. The one that remains is Sanatana," Bhagwat said. Earlier, Bhagwat said all 'sampradayas' in Bharatiya traditions 'purify' an individual. "All sampradayas in Bharatiya traditions lead to one thing, they purify you. We have to reach out. There are so many Hindus we have not yet reached out to. Ours will not be a movement or an agitation. We are not a group that is very powerful in the Hindu society. Ours is (a) group that will organise and expand the whole of the Hindu society. We have to go everywhere and reach out to one and all. One may agree on some things and disagree on some. We are trying to make this place a more developed one as people from all over the world come over here," said Dhami. CM Dhami, on Monday evening, performed the Ganga aarti and offered his prayers to the holy river. Earlier, on Monday, Dhami released the book "Meri Yojana," prepared by the Programme Implementation Department, Uttarakhand Government, in the form of an e-book, at the Secretariat in Dehradun. Appreciating the efforts of the Programme Implementation Department, the Uttarakhand CM said that an attempt has been made to explain the various schemes being implemented in the interest of the general public in simple language through the book, which will make it easier for the general public to understand public welfare schemes in simple language. "This book will be useful for public representatives and the general public, as well as officers and personnel," said Dhami. Dhamri further said that in order to avail of the benefits of public welfare schemes run by various departments, information about the application process, how and where to apply, what the eligibility and selection process of the schemes are, and what the necessary documents are required for the application, including an easy explanation of the information related to this in simple language in the form of a book, will be useful for everyone. —ANI

Haridwar (The Hawk): In Haridwar, near the Shantershah police post in the Bahadrabad area, a horrific incident involving a high-speed car has resulted in 3 casualties. In the security wall built over the canal near Crystal World, a speeding car collided with force. The impact was so severe that three occupants of the car lost their lives on the spot, while another suffered serious injuries. According to reports, early Monday morning, four individuals from Ghaziabad were traveling towards Ghaziabad in a wagon car on the Haridwar-Delhi National Highway near Crystal World. Suddenly, the driver of the speeding car lost control due to a momentary lapse of sleep, crashing the vehicle into the security wall over the canal. The collision was so intense that Rajan, Ashish, and another resident of Bherampur, Ghaziabad, lost their lives instantly at the scene. Meanwhile, a young man sustained severe injuries. Upon reaching the scene, the police took possession of the three bodies, completed the necessary formalities, and sent them to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem. The seriously injured individual was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
